Honestly the best way is to become the influencer yourself. This is becoming increasingly valuable (on instagram) as they introduce more options to monetize.
Let's say you don't produce good content yourself, suck editing etc, BUT you love super cars.
Instagram (if you ACTUALLY PUT THE WORK IN) has serious rewards right now:
Step 1: Supplement Content with Viral Content.
I KNOW! "No one cares about these pages" noo... no one cares about 98% of them because they dip their toes in but don't jump in. Instagram is traffic, if you love cars, post videos/images about those dope cars.
Build relationship a relationship through stories/highlights/ IGTV.
Step 2: Become the authority
One thing I learned in growing my beauty account is people kept coming to me asking how to do their makeup and brows.... I don't fuckin know...
So i positioned my account resharing tutorials and valuable how tos / DIYs. But people looked at me like a god of beauty.
Step 3: Become the Face of the Brand
HUGE part of where 98% of accounts fail. If no one knows you, no one cares. Again... stories/livestreams/highlights/IGTV are all HUGE. Posting is literally one part of the puzzle... especially the traffic puzzle. Don't like it? Post pictures of your beer and dogs and see how many people care.
Step 4: Preframe your audience.
When doing stories you can't just say "hey buy this" no trusts that. Say "wow I love summer because I get to wear pretty dresses"

Step 5: Dominate
People right now are not taking advantage of this. Let's say you posted 100% viral content but killed stories/highlights/livestreams/IGTV...
People will get to know who you are and fall in love with your page because your face is everywhere. The traffic that comes in is vast and they get exposed to you.
Now you can monetize in ad revenue by using IGTV (from all that free traffic).
You can do brand deals, partner with other influencers, use other pages and build your presence.
Step 6: DENIAL

The took a super simple process, built it, branded it, stuck their personality into it and built thriving subcultures of fans.
